Which parts of the body can be treated?
It is used for the treatment of facial and neck wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions. It is also a useful treatment for excessive sweating of the hands, feet and armpits (hyperhidrosis).
Areas of application
Can be applied in all the areas of the face and neck that have wrinkles due to muscle contraction:
- The forehead.
- Drooping eyebrows (“sad face”).
- Periorbital wrinkles (“crow’s feet”).
- Frown lines.
- Nose wrinkles.
Form of administration
At the Institut Ruiz Castilla (in Barcelona) all treatments are performed in line with the recommendations of the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Using a very fine needle, it is injected in small drops on the surface of the area to be treated.
Treatment schedule
The frequency of administration will depend on the wishes of the patient, once the effects on the reappearance of wrinkles begin to wear off. The effects treatment are neither immediate nor permanent; it begins to be noticed between two and eight days after administration, and the maximum effect is seen around day 15. The average treatment duration is six months, ranging between four and eight months.
